We are here to serve acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) professionals practicing in or seeking to practice in the State of South Carolina. Our purpose is to provide an informational and supportive network for such practitioners while also advocating equitable statutes and regulations relating to Acupuncture and oriental medicine. SCOMA strives to uphold standards of Oriental Medicine education, standards of practice, and professional ethics while providing a forum for the sharing of knowledge in the field of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and related disciplines.
SCOMA further serves as a link between Oriental Medicine professionals, the general public, and other health care professionals to educate South Carolinians on the efficacy, safety, and benefits of incorporating Oriental Medicine into contemporary health care.
Beyond our dedication to TCM professionals, SCOMA is also dedicated to offering support and guidance to students of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine training programs, and Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine research.
